_etcetc project brings strategies for approaching and disseminating art by artists and curators, in times of social isolation.Organized by Carolina Lauriano and Raphael Escobar

By juxtaposing images on unconventional supports, the duo poses the question of the materiality of photography as an art object. And how it should be shown once the images leaves the camera and computer screens. Lâmina has used photography and the exploration of new means to exposing the photo as an inherent part of their work. I got to know the duo's first works in 2018 when I saw a series of photographs taken during the 2013 protests, juxtaposed with the use of equipment developed by themselves. A magnifying glass turned projector; a suspended projection breaks the logic of always seeing the images on the wall, and places the scene to be seen on the floor. The choice of themes range from portraits of police officers to landscapes. However, not simple portraits or images of the world, but the look of two artists that brings in itself the duality of what is being shown and seen.
